We are pleased to announce the release of the Fire Cloud Version 1.1, next update of our software for portable navigation devices (PND). The Fire Cloud Version 1.1 has significant enhancements in realistic graphics display and unique searching points of interest (POI) along a calculated route.

Moving Paper Map

We developed our map display realistic, resembling more like a ¡°moving paper map¡±. The map display not only looks nice but it has been optimized to adapt to different navigation environments. The Fire Cloud uses two (2) types of automatic zoom capabilities. Lower zoom levels are detailed and accurate for navigating through complex local streets. Higher zoom levels are simplified yet realistic for navigating through highways at much higher speed. It proved more information only when necessary.

Via POI

We developed more user friendly POI search capability, called ¡°Via POI¡±. For example, if you are running low on gas, you can click on the ¡°gas stations¡± button on the map display screen and find nearest gas stations along the calculated route. When you choose a gas station as Via POI, the Fire Cloud will automatically recalculate to the gas station. Then, it will recalculate from the gas station to the original destination. You will save both time and gas by minimizing the total distance travel. That is smart! In addition to the above features, the Fire Cloud Version 1.1 has notable feature, such as:

¢º  Seamlessly integrated coverage of United States and Canada with (5) Million POI
(optional 12 Million) in 1.5GB of total storage

¢º  Intuitive user menu flow and ease to use graphical user interface (GUI)

¢º  Turn-by-turn voice guidance in English, Spanish, French, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean and
Japanese (optional spoken street names and directions in English Text To Speech (TTS))

  ¢º  2D and 3D bird¡¯s eye view map display

We would like to encourage you to contact us for more information or ask your hardware provider about Ubitrotech¡¯s Fire Cloud Version 1.1 at Computex Taipei 2008 (June 3rd through 6th).
